Robert Langslet is a Pianist, Producer, Arranger, and Composer.
A Portland native, Robert Langslet worked from 2012-2019 as the pianist and staff arranger of the United States Coast Guard Band. During that time he performed and wrote music for several nationally televised events: he arranged music for the 2015 White House Christmas Tree Lighting with President Barack Obama, performed at the 2013 Inaugural Parade, the 2017 Inaugural Parade, and the state funeral of President George H. W. Bush. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, the White House, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and has performed with Trombone Shorty, Mulgrew Miller, Clark Terry, Doc Severinsen, Reese Witherspoon, Tori Kelly, and others. He returned to Portland in 2019 with the singular goal of supporting Portland’s music industry.
Robert is also the founder of Project Patchwork, a non-profit that provides no-cost housing to single parents recovering from addiction. He holds a B.M. from William Paterson University and an M.M. from Manhattan School of Music.
